A brown Moth on a leafy bush. These little creatures are facinating. They can camouflage with the bark on trees, but also have the eye-like spots to scare off predators.
9" X 12" Strathmore drawing paper.
Prisma Colored Pencils.

I like the different textures in this picture! Your coloring has really come a long way. Thats a huge moth, btw! Did you photo reference this? Anyway, great work!

I really like the colors of of moth. The moth being on leaves makes it really pop out then if it was on the side of the tree. Great work.

I did use a reference photo, but now I've lost it, which really bums me out because I dont remember what species this is. The photo had him on a different leaf that was even smaller and it was not cool so I made up the background. I had the hardest time making him look all furry, and then a couple of the leaves looked furry so I had to smooth those out.
